Bee Gees are cool. I always liked the early predisco stuff. The first song I ever heard was "New York Mining Disaster 1941". Then probably my fave "I've Gotta Get A Message To You".

And here's a cover of NY Mining Disaster by Tingling Mothers Circus. Yeah, I have this album. No, I didn't buy it. A buddy saw it in a cutout bin and got it for me cause he knew I like weird stuff. He never heard it, but he thought the jacket was cool. It's actually not bad.

Yeah, I know what you all are thinking. Doesn't this guy ever shut up? Well, no. I'm retired and don't have anything better to do and my lovely missus just ignores me when I start talking about the connections that come into my head.

Here's the latest. The Tingling Mothers Circus recorded on the Musicor label. Musicor was known for country and pop music like George Jones and Gene Pitney among others. I loves me some Gene Pitney. Anyway, they wanted to branch out into hippy, trippy kind of stuff. They only ever signed two bands of that genre. One was the Tingling Mothers and the other was Rebecca and the Sunnybrook Farmers. RSF was a Pittsburgh band that I saw on a local dance show back in the sixties. Starting in the late seventies I tried to find a copy of their album. No dice. I searched for a couple decades. Finally in the early 2000s I tracked down Ilene Rappaport who founded the band. She now calls herself Lauren Wood and is kind of famous. Did a song called "Fallen" in the movie "Pretty Woman". Anyhow, when I asked her about the Rebecca album she thought it was pretty funny that anyone remembered it. Nice lady. She had her assistant put it onto a cd for me and even copied the cover art. A few years later it was released on cd for sale. I'd like to think that I put the germ of idea into her head.

You are just too sweet!

Hey, where's my little brother T.W. been? I can't shoulder all this burden myself. Not that you're a burden or anything. Although it would be really cool if you were maybe like Eric Burdon. Why don't you call him out? I miss that groovy dude........

Went to Dr. today, eyes dilated and then dye in the veins to check for bleeds so not seeing well...white background rather blinding...gonna have to just call it a day here...sorry to say. Unless all I have to do is cut and paste...type too hard to catch mistakes.

I am good...they have to check every couple of months to make sure the injections I get in them are working...and they are slowing the progression of the disease. It is much easier for me to read with a black background and white print though, and especially after they do their magic on them. Although there is this one part...that makes everything I see covered in a purple haze..bright...and when I close my eyes, its a super bright fluorescent green moon...I always make psychodelic drug jokes...lol, the tech seems like she coulda been a hippy in a another time...so she giggles...works for us, makes it fun. : )
