Devil Or Angel X 2...And A Special Word.....Or 2!

You had the post about music and the granny connection. Mine wasn't exactly the same, but here's my story. My mother's youngest sister, my Aunt Ruthie, was only eight years older than me. When we went to visit my grandmother or when Aunt Ruthie would babysit me she would let me play her records and any of the old 78 RPMs that the older brothers and sisters left there. I was only four or five at the time. I credit her with my love of music. I was thinking about writing about this in your granny post, but didn't get around to it. Now since you have a Bobby Vee song, I saw that as a sign. She was the biggest Bobby Vee fan in the world. I still love "Take Good Care Of My Baby" and his cover of "Devil Or Angel". Thanks, Aunt Ruthie. I wish that I had told her that while she was still here
.
Thank you for sharing, that is a wonderful story. I put it here so it would not get lost in the comments...I think she knows t013...while my Granny was super special...I credit my Dad for my love of music...I told a story about that when I first restarted this thing, him being up early, polishing his boots, drinking coffee, smoking, listening to anything from Marty Robbins, Englebert Humperdink, The Stylistics, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Leslie Gore, Oldies but Goodies....I would wake up extra early to sit in the dark on my bed just to listen to the music...I never disturbed him, that was his time...but it was mine too...now....he collects records with me, and we share the music together...it is something that noone else in the family share...just him and I...It is truly a special gift and blessing!
