When I Was Young
taminator013, your song...I can see reflections of Ken in it, as you suggested I might..he is only a few of years older than I, and I can relate to some of it...I like it.
Can't go wrong with the Animals. I've been a big fan all my life. If someone asked me who my all time favorite band of any time era was it would probably be them. I still remember running out to buy a 45 of "Sky Pilot" when it was first released. Ran home and threw it on the stereo and here it was Part II on the B-side that was playing. Kind of a WTF moment, but after flipping to the A-side and then back to the B, I thought that it was the coolest thing ever. Back in those days you would have never heard that on the radio.
Yep, we had some music in those days- Cream, Yardbirds, Stones, Doors, Tull, Blues Breakers, Fleetwood Mac. It was about that time I discovered FM radio as an alternative to AM/top 40. I ditched all of my 4-track and 8-track cartridges, and then my cassettes. But I still have hundreds of LPs.
